What is Group Therapy?

From the time we are born, we are a part of a group: family, school, religious institutions, clubs, circles of friends, school organizations, and work. We learn how to relate to one another in these groups, sometimes in ways that work and sometimes in ways that are problematic.

Group therapy is a special form of therapy in which a small number of people meet together under the guidance of a professionally trained therapist. In this group, you begin to work in relationship to others and to discover how to improve your interpersonal relationships. The work addresses a multitude of feelings, including a sense of isolation, depression and anxiety.

“In American, even the pets are lonely.”
— Mother Teresa

Group provides a safe place to feel connected and supported.

It can assist people to make significant changes so that they feel better about the quality of their lives. These changes can have a profound impact on relationships and the way you relate to others outside of group.

In group therapy we relate, struggle, explore and see one another through.

If you are interested in joining a group, please feel free to contact me.
